GENUKI: What it is and how it can help you

We are sorry that we are unable to present the original talk scheduled for 14 September because of a technical problem. We are grateful to Malcolm for offering to talk at short notice.
GENUKI provides a virtual reference library of genealogical information of particular relevance to the UK and Ireland. It is a non-commercial service, maintained by a charitable trust and a group of volunteers.
Malcolm will talk briefly about GENUKI’s origins and his involvement. After a short history, particularly of its recent developments, Malcolm will take the audience on a tour of the main features of the site. Time will be left for questions about the various aspects of GENUKI; there will even be time for the audience to offer to get involved!
Malcolm spent 40 years in University IT Support before retiring. His interest in family history was sparked by a family bible and his first family history database was a WordPerfect for DOS mailmerge file. He is currently a trustee of GENUKI and chairman of the Oxfordshire FHS.
