The Society’s Journal is published quarterly in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and distributed free to members in print and electronic format.
It contains articles of general genealogical interest, members’ submitted stories of their research, as well as articles relevant to Gloucestershire Family History. It also contains regular features including Branch news and Society Notices. News from the Archives and of forthcoming events, a section containing Members’ interests and a Members’ Queries column.
Submitting Journal Articles
We welcome new articles for submission to the Journal. The decision which articles to publish is made by the Editor. We are particularly interested in brief articles on research techniques and uncommon areas of research. Photographs or descriptions and histories of your parish are always welcomed but please do not send originals of printed images, as we would not be able to guarantee their safe return.
Readers Queries Column
We run this column so readers can publish their queries. Queries should be typed or written in block capitals, one query per sheet of paper, or e-mailed to the Journal Editor.
Letters, News items, Readers queries and Articles for the Journals should reach the editor by the following dates.
Spring Issue: 15th January
Summer Issue: 15th April
Autumn Issue: 15th July
Winter Issue: 14th October
