The Society’s Journal is published quarterly in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter and distributed free to members in print and electronic format.

It contains articles of general genealogical interest, stories submitted by members telling of their family research, as well as articles relevant to Gloucestershire family history. It also contains regular features including Society Notices, News from Gloucestershire Archives, forthcoming events, a section containing Members’ Interests plus letters and queries from members.

Submitting Journal Articles

We welcome new articles for submission to the Journal. The decision which articles to publish is made by the Editor. We are particularly interested in brief articles on research techniques and uncommon areas of research. Photographs or descriptions and histories of your parish are always welcomed but please do not send originals of printed images, as we would not be able to guarantee their safe return. Authors should ensure that all images included are copyright free.

Readers Queries Column

We run this column so readers can publish their queries. These should be e-mailed to the Journal Editor, or sent by post to the Editor at The Family History Centre.

Letters, News items, Readers queries and Articles for the Journals should reach the editor by the following dates.
Spring Issue:                      15^th January
Summer Issue:                  15^th April
Autumn Issue:                   15^th July
Winter Issue:                     15^th October
