Non-Members can request searches by completing the Application Form and posting it to the Gloucestershire Family History Centre enclosing a cheque for the appropriate amount plus a SAE.
The charge is £2.00 per Surname for one A4 page of information (or part page). If the information spills onto additional pages we will inform you of the cost of any extra pages.
Members of the Society have produced this Index which includes all parishes within the Diocese of Gloucester for the period between 1813 and 1837 (List of Parishes covered). The Transcription gives all the information in the Register, usually Name at Baptism / Date of Baptism / Parents’ Names and abode.

Members of the Society have produced this Index which includes details of all marriages that took place in the Gloucester Diocese between 1800 and 1837. It includes over 60,000 marriages. It does not cover the marriages in those parishes in the far south of the county which fall within the Diocese of Bristol.

Members of the Society have produced this Index which includes 306 parish registers and 49 non-conformist burial registers available in the Gloucestershire Record Office. It covers the area within the Diocese of Gloucester but not those parishes in the south of the county which fall within the Diocese of Bristol.
In some cases, there are details of burials outside this period of 1813-1851. Information transcribed includes: Name of Deceased / Date of Burial / Abode / Age At Death and Notes.
Note that this index is more complete than currently available on the National Burial Index CDs.

Members of the Society have transcribed all the non-conformist registers held in the Gloucestershire Archives which contain mainly Baptisms but also a few Burials. They cover various dates some from early 18th century up to 1903.

Members of the Society have transcribed the Registers of Births, Marriages & Burials which were created from minutes of the individual Meeting Houses in the Gloucestershire & Wiltshire area commencing around 1650 and held by Gloucestershire Archives.
However to whet the appetite notable families such as Joseph Fry chocolate maker can be found as well as faraway places such as America, the Caribbean, and English Counties from the North to South.
