Memorial inscription recording at Parkend (St. Paul), the new extension to the left of the Lychgate section (as you look from the road). Meet 7.00pm on.
Our Family History in a Forest Churchyard series continues with St Mary’s, Lydney. This series was started by Steve Cooper a few years ago.
This event will be led by branch member Pat Morris. Pat will tell us about some of the more interesting memorials and people in the churchyard.
Meet at the entrance gate to St Mary’s on Church Road, Lydney at 7:00 pm.
In the event of wet/bad weather please check here before travelling.
Members are invited to do a short presentation on some aspect of their particular research, say an interesting memorial or family photo, etc., or some “brick wall” they cannot break through (we are expecting at least one of the latter).
A projector and laptop will be available if you have it on a CD or USB stick, or bring it along, as it is, and just hand it around – a photo, of course, not a memorial!
If a few members would be willing to co-operate it should make and interesting and entertaining evening.
